Services for Rev. Robert Kenneth Hester, Sr., age 76, of Rentz, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jerry Peacock, Rev. Greg Lowery, Rev. David Canen, and Dr. Roy Rogers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Hester died Monday, January 23, 2017.

Rev. Hester was an ordained elder in The Church of the Nazarene for forty-five years and was a retired minister. He was a native of Fitzgerald, GA and he was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wright and Myrtle Prescott Hester; brother, James C. Hester; and sisters, Mildred Garrick and Annelle Bryan.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda Robitzsch Hester, of Rentz; children, Robert Kenneth (Janet) Hester, Jr., of Monroe, NC, Ronald Keith (Kelly) Hester, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Roger Kevin (Wendy) Hester, of Rentz, and Robin Kerri (Victor) Woodard, of Cadwell; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Ellene (James) Echols, and Faye (Sage) Strickland, both of Fitzgerald.

Vic Woodard, Alan Sumner, Rick Faircloth, Joshua Hester, Chris Snellgrove, and Frankie Bryan will serve as pallbearers.
