Services for Robert Emory Stinson, age 86, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bennie Moore and Rev. W. R. "Dub" Skipper will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Stinson died Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Mr. Stinson was the son of the late Ezel Stinson and the late Willie Day Stinson. He served in the U S Navy and was a retired logger, employed as a Crew Boss with R. T. Gilder. Mr. Stinson was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Faye Daniels, and his son, Robert William Stinson and great-granddaughter, Jasmine Howard. Survivors include his loving wife, Billie Ruth Stinson, of Dublin; children, Billy E. Stinson, Elizabeth Gail (Walter) Passmore, Raymond Ezel (Bennie) Stinson, Donald Edward Stinson, James Franklin (Teresa) Stinson, and Jimmy (Donna) Randal Stinson, all of Dublin; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Joel Brooks, Leon Brooks, Grant Rowe, Jessie Brooks, Ryan Brooks, and Matt Dimmen will serve as pallbearers.
