Robert "Bobby"
Woodard
Nov 4, 1940 — Sep 3, 2022
Robert Lee "Bobby" Woodard Sr. went to be with Jesus, after a courageous battle with cancer on September 3, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Woodard; sister, Patricia Harrison; nephew, Joey Woodard; niece, Alisha Hughes; and great-grandson, Russ Thacker.
He is survived by the love of his life and camping partner, Margaret Ann (Marge) Campbell Woodard. For sixty-two years, if you saw one you saw the other. Also, sons Buddy Woodard (Doris) of Waynesboro, Georgia, Bill Woodard (Amy) of Saint Johns, Florida, and Mike Woodard of Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Grandsons are Andy Woodard (Hannah), Evan Woodard (Lexy), Ben Woodard (Angy), Taylor Woodard (Melissa), Chase Woodard, Jordan Woodard (Caroline), Jacob Woodard (Ally Brinson), and Austin Delk (Ansley).
Granddaughters are Tracie Childers (Kevin), Robin Brinson (Seth), Melanie Woods (James), and Mackenzie Delk.
And two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and one great-great-granddaughter all survived.
Bobby was a kind; loving man and a friend to everyone he met. He loved God, his country, his family, and the Dublin Police Department, where he spent thirty-five years. Starting in 1967 as a patrolman and retiring in 2002 as Chief of Police. He always said the men and women of the department were his second family. He and Marge loved camping and enjoyed that activity for thirty-three years with five different RVs and Trailers. Also, his love of music especially the guitar was a big part of his life. And in the late 70s, he and his brother formed a country music band. He was also proud to teach two grandsons, a granddaughter, and a nephew how to play the guitar.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Bishop Tim Chatman and Rev. Robert Rogers officiating.

Burial will be a private family. The Dublin Police Department Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
Special thanks to Agape Hospice Care for the loving and respectful attention that was given to him in his final time, especially to David Woods. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions, in memory of Bobby, be made to the Cancer Foundation of Middle Georgia, 2400 Bellevue Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021.
