Ms. Jackson was born in Scott, GA to the late Andrew G. And Sally Winters Jackson. After retiring from the cotton mill in South Carolina, Roenella dedicated her time to visiting nursing homes to share her love of Jesus. She also served as a foster grandparent in the local elementary school. Though she had no children of her own, she was "Granny Jackson" to many and loved each of them dearly. Ms. Jackson continued to witness for her Lord even after she lost her vision and much of her hearing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Alver Lee, and Dalton Jackson; sister, Georgia Lawson, Ruby Drake, Eunice Carter, Bernice Riner, Ethel Jackson and Marie Rappa; half brothers, Andrew G. Jackson, Jr. and Wyman Jackson and half sister, Andrea Lee Martz.

Survivors include her sister, Hazel Price, of Dublin; nephew, James R. Price (Kathy), of Dublin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
