Services for Ronald E. "Cookie" Brooks, age 62, of Macon, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2018, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at White Springs Cemetery. Lance Coleman will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  Mr. Brooks died Saturday, December 30, 2018.

Ronald E. Brooks, "Cookie" was born September 16, 1955 in Laurens County to Hazel and Nelson Brooks.  He lived in Macon for the last ten years.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Nelson Brooks, and sister, Marjorie Ann Brooks.  He is survived by his sisters, Virranus (Harold) Sawyer, and Judy (Ronald) Sawyer, both of Dublin; daughter, Kathy Joe Brooks, of Pennsylvania; nephews, Greg Brooks, and Harold Sawyer, Jr., both of Dublin; nieces, Michelle (William) Simpson, of Warner Robins, Tessa (James) Carroll, of Dexter; along with grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Stevie White, Greg Brooks, Anthony White, William Simpson, Will Simpson, and Leon Brooks.

The family will be at the home of Virranus and Harold Sawyer.
