Services for Ron Gay, age 46 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2010, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto and Rev. Jim Sowden will officiate. Mr. Gay died Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Ron was born October 3, 1963 in Laurens County. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a former employee of Curry Realtors. Mr. Gay was preceded in death by his father, Kelton Donald Gay, Sr., brother, Dana Gay, a sister Cheryl Gay and a nephew Andy Gay. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Passmore Gay of Dublin, children, Josh Gay, Tyler Gay, Aaron Gay, Caleb Gay and Jacob Wilkes, his mother, Clara Eline Gay, siblings, Debra (Louie) Mullis, Brenda Gay, Karen (Wayne) Wickstrom, Don (Pam) Gay, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Randy Nix, Chuck Spires, Gary Lausch, Tom Wiggins, Mike Maffett and Wayne Howard. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
