Services for Ronnie D. Larsen, age 65 of Warner Robins, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Wayne Hinson and Rev. Ronnie Bowen will officiate. He passed away on October 24, 2012.
Mr. Larsen was a 1965 graduate of Dexter High School. He was employed by the US Department of Defense for over 38 years, retiring in 2003. He attended Macon State College and was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army Special Forces. Mr. Larsen was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Motorcycle Association for 18 years, serving 6 years as Assistant District Director. He enjoyed playing the piano, guitar and organ as well as motorcycle riding, wood working and photography. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Larsen and Anita L. Alligood Steele; and step-father, John Steele. Ronnie was a quiet man of integrity and loved the Lord. He was a brave, knowledgeable, gentle, honest, kind and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Larsen of Warner Robins; step-son, Frank Snodgrass of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Heather Larsen and Brandi Larsen, both of Warner Robins; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Megan and Nicholas Snodgrass, all of Franklin, TN and Hayden, Jaden, Raven, Zoe, Braylon and Dayton, all of Warner Robins.
Pallbearers will be Gary Verhulst, Jerry Watson, David Aikens, Jack Frederick, Phillip Denning and Rick Stephens.
The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10:00AM until funeral hour.
