Services for Rosa Lee Wood, age 83 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Rev. Tommy Veal will officiate. She passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late Henry Jefferson and Marie Mason Black. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mizel Jack Wood and son-in-law, Alan Purvis. She is survived by her children, Martha Wood Purvis of East Dublin, Clayton (Vicki) Wood of Dacula and Fred (Dawn) Wood of East Dublin; grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Rodney Smith and Rachel (Steve) Baggett all of East Dublin, Daniel (Beverly) Wood of Statesboro, Phillip (Christen) Wood of Auburn, Dallas (Jennifer) Wood of Warthen, Dustin Wood of East Dublin, Heather (David) Keith of Flowery Branch, Shannon Wood of Dacula and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Roberson, Emory Lake, Tony Mullis, Monte Hester, David Keith and Stevie Drew. Honorary pallbearers will be John Sheppard, Truett Coleman and Jimmy Warren. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Wednesday at Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
