Services for Rose Marie DiFazio Johnson, age 93, of Eastman and formerly of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Father Stephen Pontzer will officiate. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, with visitation following until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, July 18, 2015. Mrs. Johnson, born in Geneva, NY, graduated from high school in Geneva, and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church until moving to Georgia in 1946.She became a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dublin. She retired from Walmart after twenty-two years of service. Mrs. Johnson volunteered in community service for years and was faithful to her church and family. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Johnson; parents, Paul and Angelina Bruno DiFazio; brothers, Paul (Joann) DiFazio, Jr. and Tommie (Diane) DiFazio. Survivors include her children, Helen (Larry) Powell, of Rentz, Paul (Diana) Johnson, of Eastman; grandchildren, Russell Powell, Kevin Powell, Tyler Johnson, Crystal Johnson (David) Brantley, Walt Johnson; great grandchildren, Kourtney (Brandon) Bailey, Tayler Johnson, Ashtyne (Wesley) Johnson Fulwood, Conner Johnson, Jesse Powell, Kade Powell, Emma Brantley, Rebecca Brantley, Caiden Johnson; eight great great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law, Alfred (Donna) Jones. Walt Johnson, Jesse Powell, Kade Powell, Russell Powell, Kevin Powell, Tyler Johnson, Chuck Haywood, and Steve DiFazio, will serve as pallbearers.
