Roy Jackson, age 54 of Dublin, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. Services will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Billy Glosson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson was a dedicated husband and avid outdoorsman. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and special friends, Tim Veal and Clay Jones. Roy worked as a carpenter with Warnock Builders. He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Jackson, Sr. and Betty Jane Grimsley Jackson and son, Jeremy Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Frankie Jackson of Dublin; daughter, Danielle Jackson of Unadilla; son, William "Roy" Jackson of Hawkinsville; step-daughters, Dale Johnson (Dennis) of East Dublin, Rhonda Strickland (Derrick) of Yatesville and Krista Brown (Josh) of Dublin; brothers, Dale Jackson (Rosemary) of St. Lucie West, Florida and Eddie Jackson of Johns Island, SC; sister, Betty Jackson of Johns Island, SC; granddaughters, Sara Jackson of Cochran, Ashlei Johnson of Rockledge and Brittany Guinn of Yatesville; grandsons, Shawn and Eli Jackson of East Dublin, Jayden and Devian Jackson of Unadilla and Jacob Strickland of Yatesville and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joe Greene, Mark Warnock, Tim Veal, Wayne Carver, Donald Warnock and James Allen.
