Services for Ruby "Totsie" Kennedy Donaldson, age 85 of Minter, will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Minter Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jerry Martin and Rev. Ben Edwards will officiate. Mrs. Donaldson was born in Collins, GA. She was the daughter of the late Julian Octavius Kennedy and the late Inez Graham Kennedy. She was a member of Minter Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, member of WMU, Vacation Bible School Director, and choir member. She was also a member of Young Farmers Group of East Laurens, and an American Cancer Society Volunteer. She was a graduate of Georgia College and Mercer University. Totsie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leland "Jabo" Donaldson, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include her daughter, Kay Donaldson of Dublin, sisters in law, Myrtle Donaldson and Aldine Donaldson, several nieces and nephews, her special girls "caregivers" – Nikki Slater, Lyann Nobles, Tammy Blair and Linda Pennington. Sam Williams, Mark Slater, Glenn Williams, Condell Carter, Carneage Young, Dan Young, Roger Smith and Charlie Bush will serve as pallbearers. Maggie and Cessum Young, Gene and Fannie Mae Stewart, Charles and Barbara Snow, Earl and Delorise Farmer, Wayne and Linda Graham, Dr. Hugh Johnson, Don Johnson, Billy and Janice Laster, Arlene Martin, Elene Williams and Hubert Wilkes, Ray and Mavis Taylor, James and Virginia Meeks will serve as honorary Escort. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
