Ruby McDaniel Holland passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Mrs. Holland was born in Laurens County on January 19, 1920 to the late Joseph E. McDaniel, Sr. and the late Meda Lee McDaniel. She retired as a bookkeeper with the Laurens County Library and along with her husband, was a co-founder of the Irish Reelers. Mrs. Holland was a member of First Baptist Church of Dublin where she served for many years as a Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James T. Holland; brother, Joseph E. McDaniel, Jr.; four sisters, Coralee McDaniel Prescott, Winnie McDaniel Harrison, Georgia McDaniel Greer and Grace McDaniel Williamson and granddaughter, Julie Lynn Stephens. Survivors are her daughter, Jennifer Reynolds and her husband, Tryon from Dublin, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Mathis and her husband Dwayne of Cairo, GA; step-grandson, Jeff Reynolds and his wife, Erin of Tampa, FL; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mrs. Holland will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Dr. Lamar Holly will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00AM until funeral hour at First Baptist Church.
