Ruby Nobles Perkins, age 92 of Dublin, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Jack Key and Rev. Jimmy Towson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Mrs. Perkins was born in Montrose, GA to the late Joseph O. Nobles and Annie Dickens Nobles. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Perkins, daughter, Ellen P Gore, sisters, Maggie N. Payne, Louise N. Edwards, brothers, J. C. Nobles, and James Nobles. Mrs. Perkins was of the Christian faith. She was retired from J. P. Stevens and also enjoyed working for several years at the Olive Branch. Survivors include her son, John Perkins of Lilburn, grandchildren; Jeffrey Gore (Sara) Steve Gore, Cheryl Chance (Rod) all of Dublin, great grandchildren: Christopher Gore, Nicole G. Stanley, Steven Gore, Jered Gore, Laura Gore and Becca Chance. She is also survived by several great great grandchildren and brothers, Edgar Nobles of Byron and Horace Nobles of Tennille. Eddie Nobles, Scott Nobles, Danny Nobles, Joel Nobles, Joe Edwards, Don Edwards, will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the home of Cheryl and Rod Chance, 2046 Hwy 441 North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Serenity Foundation, P. O. Box 428, Dublin, GA 31040 in memory of Ruby Nobles Perkins.
