Services for Mrs. Ruby Grant Wilson, age 95, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Meeks, GA at 3:30 PM. Rev. Darin Talley and Rev. James Covington will officiate. Mrs. Wilson was born in Meeks. She was the daughter of the late Morris T. Grant, Sr., and Mrs. Mettie Webb Grant. Mrs. Wilson was a housewife and a member of the Corinth United Methodist Church. She passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Wilson; son, James Robert Wilson; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ellen Powell of Meeks; five sons, R. J. (Barbara) Wilson of East Dublin, Johnny (Peggy) Wilson of Dublin, Edward Wilson of East Dublin, Earl (Vonnie) Wilson of Dublin, and Jack Wilson of Warner Robins; two brothers, Morris Grant of Dublin and Horace Grant of Aiken, SC; sister, Myrtle Meeks of Meeks; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Shon Wiley, Tony Ingrando, Trey Powell, Wesley Wilkes, Ricky Wilson, and Doug Powers will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, December 31, 2012 from 1:00 PM until funeral time.
