Celebration of Life Services for Sara Young Lowery, age 61, of Orianna, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. George Grimes and Rev. Mike Spivey will officiate. Mrs. Lowery was the daughter of the late Preston and Evelyn Young. Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Wayne, of Orianna; a daughter, Megan J. Lowery, of Atlanta, and Alpha J. Watson, of Dublin; mother-in-law, Hazel L. Daniel, of Dublin; sisters-in-law, Charlene Lowery, of Orianna, Debbie (Eddie) Floyd, of Orianna, Christy (Mark) Floyd, of Alabama; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Lowery was a member of First Baptist Church, Soperton, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Dublin-Laurens Retired Educators and the Dublin Red Hat Society. Mrs. Lowery retired from the Laurens County Board of Education after thirty-two years of service. Donnie Cammack, Richard Ware, Al Heath, Robbie Hooks, Eddie H. Floyd, Greg Williams, Jeremy Beall and David Roberts will serve as active pallbearers. Bible Study 102 Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and the Dublin Red Hat Society will serve as honorary pallbearers.
