Services for Sara Gene Price, age 80 of Dublin, who passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, will be held at 2:00 PM in Thursday in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Northview cemetery. Dr. Jack Key and Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 PM until funeral hour. Mrs. Price was a member of Marie Baptist Church and served as pianist for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was survived by her husband, Charles E. Price of Dublin, a son Whitey Price of Macon, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Price of Valdosta. Preston Wood, Baily Wood, Billy Frost, George Kowtko, Wayne Veal and Ricky Ussery will serve as pallbearers. Sid Johnson will serve as honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Laurens County Humane Society or to Marie Baptist Church.
