Services for Shelley Sheffield Floyd, age 78 of Dublin, will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Charles Carter will officiate. She passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 Mrs. Floyd was born in Irwinton, Georgia to Vertie Mae Williams Sheffield and the late William B. Sheffield. She retired from Oconee EMC where she worked as a secretary. She was also preceded in death by a husband, W.D. "Buddy" Little; sons, Doug Little and Jeffrey Floyd and a brother, Donald Sheffield. Survivors include her husband Henry L. "Buck" Floyd of Dublin; daughters, Robin Little (Steve) Robertson of Grayson and Debbie Little (James) Crisp of Fayetteville, Donna (Randy) Devane; mother, Vertie Mae Williams Sheffield of Macon; brothers, Bill (Bertha) Sheffield of Jeffersonville, David Sheffield of Dry Branch and Gary (Donna) Sheffield of Gray; sister, Patricia (Danny) Lumpkin of Eastman; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Harrison, Danny Hackle, William Hall, Ricky Baker, Ricky McCoy, Eugene Beacham and Kevin Childers. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
