Services for Shirley D. Barron, age 77 of Rentz, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Rentz Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann and Rev. Jeff Handley will officiate. The family will receive friends at Rentz Baptist Church from 10:00AM until funeral hour. Mrs. Barron was born in Tampa, FL to the late Oliver and Ethel Ivey Nichols. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Carpenter. She passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Survivors include her husband, Richard Barron of Rentz; son, Richard Barron, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Miami, FL; daughter, Virginia Carpenter of Rentz; son, Lawrence Barron and his wife, Tammy of Miami, FL; granddaughter, Michelle Montilla of Miami, FL; grandson, Matthew Barron of Miami, FL and brother, Roger Nichols of Crystal River, FL. Jeff Morton, Ken Underwood, Matthew Barron, David Rowe, Jr. Turner and Mike Cox will serve as pallbearers.
