Services for Shirley Ann Warren, age 71 of Dexter, will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Bedingfield will officiate. She passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Mrs. Warren was born in Laurens County to the late Elton and Myrtice Myers Alligood. She retired from Southern Bell and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jairl Warren and brother, Greg Alligood. Survivors include two daughters, Kris (Scotty) Simpson of Dry Branch and Lisa (Tim) Parrish of Rentz; son, Joel (Lisa) Warren of Dublin; grandchildren, Jessica Simpson Foster, Katie Danielle Simpson, Hollie Faith Simpson, Chelsea Lee Ann Warren, Joseph Wade Phillips and Wade Evans Warren; great-grandchildren, Ethan Foster, Luke Foster and Malei Parrish; sister, Rita (Hardy) Smith of Dexter and brother, Royce (Brenda) Alligood of Dexter and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Toby Alligood, Chan Alligood, Dustin Alligood, Jason Warren, Rondie Warren, Reggie Warren and Larry Dean. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. They may also be contacted at 305 Pinehill Road, Dublin.
