Stanley Robert
Hahn, Jr.
Dec 8, 1946 — Feb 3, 2022
Stanley Robert (Robbie) Hahn, Jr. was born on December 8, 1946, the firstborn of Dr. Stanley R. Hahn and Dorothy Moseley Hahn. Robbie passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on February 3, 2022.
Robbie grew up in Dublin, Georgia where his father pastored the First Baptist Church. As a young boy, he was baptized by his father, whom he adored. Always naturally athletic, Robbie went on to become an All American Football player and led the Fighting Irish Football Team to many victories and State Championships. After his high school graduation in 1965, Robbie went on to play football for Furman University on a full scholarship. He, split end receiver, and Clyde Hewell, quarterback, did so well that the media tagged them as "The Fly and The Flea." Bob Landry attempted to recruit Robbie to play pro football for his Dallas Cowboys, but he decided to finish school at Tampa University in Florida and was recruited by the semi-pro team, the Orlando Panthers. Unfortunately, during one of the first practices, Robbie's knee was badly injured, which finished his football career.
In 1970 Robbie married his high school sweetheart, Vicki Fowler (now Lunceford) and they had three daughters together, Laura, Valerie and Kathryn. Although their marriage ended in divorce, they remained friends through the years.
He worked for some years in the corporate arena, but had always been interested in law and went on to become a successful lawyer helping others who needed it along the way. Robbie was a devoted friend who was always smiling and laughing. He loved spending his extra time with his cherished friends playing trivia (which he always knew the answers to) and shooting pool all the while making everyone laugh with his jokes.
Robbie will be greatly missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. He leaves behind: Companion/Best friend: Terry Gonzalez; Daughter Laura Hahn Fields (husband Chad) and two granddaughters, Maddie and Grace; Daughter Valerie Hahn Brewer (husband Lane); Daughter Kathryn Hahn Cumberland (husband Cale) and grandchildren Salem, Ava, Aiden, Annakin, Carlyn and Maisie; Sisters: Ellen Hahn Saliba and Gloria Hahn Tinsley; Brother: James "Jim" Hahn (wife Kay); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin, Georgia on Tuesday February 8, 2022, from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. with a funeral service to immediately follow in the chapel. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, an honorary donation to a favorite charity of your choosing are welcome in memory of Robbie.
