A memorial service for Stanley Neel, age 81, of Dudley, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2014, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Daws and Rev. Brad Nowell will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Mr. Neel died Friday, October 31, 2014. Mr. Neel, retired U. S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, was a member of Dudley Baptist Church. He retired from Gilman Building Products. Mr. Neel loved spending time with his grandchildren, sports, and reading. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Neel and Maude Neel Brooks, and sister, Janice Ledford. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Jacqueline Neel, daughter, Venita Neel (Glenn) Howell, all of Dudley; grandchildren, Dennis (Angela) Howell, of Dudley, Jason (Beth) Howell, Benjamin Howell, Bryon Howell, all of Dexter; great grandchildren, Parker Howell, Grady Howell, both of Dudley, Jocelyn Howell, Natalie Howell, both of Dexter; brother, Bill (Nancy) Neel, of Rockledge, FL; sisters, Marlene Newcom (John) of Rouge River, OR, and Judy Neel, of Kennewick, WA
