Services for Susie Mae (Sue) Bennett, age 93, of Dublin, will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Duggar officiating. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00am until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bennett was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Gideon's Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lem and Nellie Woods Jordan, and husband of sixty six years, Douglas Bennett. She passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017.
Survivors include her daughter, Sally May (Glenn) of McDonough; two sons, Bruce Bennett (Leigh) of Roswell and Douglas Jr. (Gail) of Nashville, TN; one grandson, Rod May (Amy) of McDonough; four granddaughters, Suzanne Fullerton of Franklin, TN, Cathy Claxton of Nashville, TN, Kelli Hadfield (Jamie) of Atlanta and Amanda Barnes (Kyle) of Covington; six great-granddaughters, Samantha, Carissa, and Grace Fullerton all of Franklin, TN, Lydia and Lizzy May both of McDonough, and Madison Hadfield of Atlanta; six great-grandsons, Gage, Bryce, Gavin, and Brantley Barnes all of Covington, Bennett Hadfield of Atlanta, and Douglas May, of McDonough; brother, Robert Jordan, of Nixa, MO; sisters, Beula Hester, of Richmond, VA and Evelyn Johnson, of Willard, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
