Teresa Lynn Woodard passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a Baptist by faith and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by many. A lot of people depended on her. She was the glue that held the family together.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Chapman and Mary Louise Poole Chapman, a son Robert David Woodard and a brother, John Allen Chapman.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Woodard, children, Holly (Bennie) McCoy, Bobby Woodard, Carry Hutto, Catherine (David) Schien, Grandchildren, Makayla  (Bobby) Landmesser, Suzanne (Skyler) Luna, Brittany Phillips, William McCoy, Christopher McCoy, Elizabeth McCoy, Jessica Sigmon, Henry Sigmon, Rhyleigh Evans, Jacob Evans, Kinsley Evans, Liam Evans, Colby Woodard, Hunter Woodard, Cameron Schien, Bethany"Pumpkin" Schien, great grandchildren, David Eli Luna, Colson Woodard and Hunter Phillips. She is also survived by her siblings, Doug (Nora) Chapman, Bonita Pegg, Esther (Joe) Patisaul, James (Debbie) Chapman, Peter Chapman, Scott Horwitz and numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles and several good friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday September 2, 2026, at Townsend Brothers Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2026, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in the Gay Cemetery.

Colby Woodard, Henry Sigmon, Hunter Woodard, Randy Patisaul, Jacob Evans and Cameron Schien will serve as pallbearers.
