On December 16, 2022, Terry Poole was called home by the Lord, after a brief illness.

Born to Hansford and Ellen Parker Poole on October 8, 1956, he grew up in Telfair County. He moved to Laurens County where he resided for forty-five years. A welder by trade, Terry was employed by Kevin Baggett and Frankie Bullard for over thirty years. He worked hard to provide for his family. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with grandchildren, grilling, listening to classic rock music, and watching TV. Terry could be found watching football on the weekend, support his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs. He leaves behind a huge, loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hansford and Ellen (Parker) Poole, his daughter, Carol Denise Poole, his sisters, Violet Shurling, Shirley Granger and Linda Purvis, and brother, Tommy Poole.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-five years, Marsha Hightower Poole, of East Dublin; daughters, Terri Michelle (Drew) Hart, of East Dublin, Terry Lynn Poole, of Fayetteville, NC, Jessica Marie Brooks, of East Dublin, and Teri Nicole Poole (Tony Darrisaw), of East Dublin; Sons, Terry Shane Poole, of Nashville, TN, and Larry Lee (Heather) Hightower, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Breanna (Michael) Odum, Cole (Haley) O'Neal, Michael Terp, Deanna Shenk, Kimberly Nepstad, Julian Nepstad,  Dillan Kellan, Konnor Brooks, Kalin Brooks, Kole Coleman, Tyler Pope, Camden Shiver, Lindsay Hightower, Hadley Griffin, Tresman Poole, Emorii Jones, and Antonio Poole Darrisaw; great-grandchildren, Hance Odum, Callen O'Neal, Madi Odum, and Maci Odum; sister, Gloria Knowles; brothers-in-law, Jeff Braswell, Dane Braswell, and Michael Anderson; and sister-in-law Sharon McKenzie.

Services will be held for Mr. Poole Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 2pm at the Chapel at Townsend Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at 1pm Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Townsend Funeral Home before the service. Internment will follow at Zion Hope Church Cemetery, Chauncey, GA.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Braswell, Dylan O'Quinn, Michael Odum, Al Perry, Bennett Skeeters, and Rowdy Thigpen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Baggett, Vic Cooper, Steven Frost, and Frankie Bullard.
