Tillman Ladson (T.L.) Mimbs, Jr., passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2016 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Barbara Nelson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at T.L.'s residence, 1199 Graham Road, East Dublin, GA. T.L. was a member of Brewton United Methodist Church, where he also taught Sunday School. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked at J. P. Stevens for almost 40 years, and was also an independent Farmer. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and helping others in his community. Mr. Mimbs was preceded in death by his parents, Tillman Ladson Mimbs, Sr. and Mattie Lenois Barfield Mimbs; wife, Doris Mimbs, and sister, Juanita M. Sewell. Survivors include son, Jerry Mimbs (Elaine), of East Dublin; daughter, Diane Green (Frank), of Marietta; grandsons, Jarred Mimbs (Kristi Cody), of East Dublin, Jason Mimbs (Vivian Oliver), of East Dublin, Colby Green (Bryson), of Cummings; great grandson, Dalton Mimbs, of East Dublin, and brother, Doyle Mimbs (Mildred), of East Dublin. The family would like to say a special thank you to the neighbors and community for all their kindness and consideration during his illness. Also, a special thanks to our caring family for all they have done in helping T. L., as well as, Sherry Sellers, Ashley Graham, and Serenity Hospice for all their help and care. Thank you to Vivian Oliver for the kindness and dedication she showed. She was an angel sent from Heaven and made his life the best it could have been and will always have a place in Jerry's Heart.
