Tony Marshall Poole, age 56, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016.

Services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Baker Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Joey Diers and Mr. Don Warren will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Poole was born in Telfair County to the late Jr. and Jackie Carey Poole. He was employed in maintenance at Forstmann for many years. Tony was an avid race car fan and was also considered the biggest fan of Dale Earnhardt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Gay Poole.

Survivors include his daughters, Angie Pope (Justin) of Dublin and Tonya Foskey (Tony) of Dublin; grandchildren, Chase Herndon, Trent Foskey, Gavin Herndon, Treston Foskey, Gunner Pope, Aubree Pope and Tegan Foskey; brother, David Poole of Helena; sisters-in-law, Judy Herndon (Johnny) of Dublin and Sherry Rogers (Coley) of Eastman, and brother-in-law, Glenis Gay (Cheryl) of Dublin and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Corey Purvis, Peter Gay, Johnny Chris Herndon, Dee Poole, Eddie Thompson, Ronnie Bates, Will Herrington and Chase Herndon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Young, Nathaniel Smith, and Mike Smith.
