Graveside services for Vester A. Wilkes, age 81, of Dublin will be held at Bracewell Cemetery on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Rev. W.L. Currie will officiate. Mrs. Wilkes was the daughter of the late William Henry Lester and the late Effie Lee Edge Lester. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Prescott Wilkes. Mrs. Wilkes passed away January 11, 2012. She is survived by a sister, Annie Elizabeth Register of Dublin; nephews, Don Melton of Dublin, Steve Register of Warner Robins and several other nephews; two nieces, Kathy Boyd and Daphine Alexander, both of Dublin and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Branum, Jeff Branum, Scott Melton, Ricky Melton, Robert Francis and Tommy Currie. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
