Victor Lee Hebert, age 70, passed away February 15, 2023 at home in Rentz, Georgia, surrounded by loved ones.  Born in Rayne, Louisiana in 1952 to the late Zelia Billeaud Hebert and the late Weston Hebert, Victor was reared in Maurice and Duson.

After graduating from Acadiana High School in 1970, Victor proudly served in the United States Army.  After serving two years in Würzburg, Germany, Victor returned to Louisiana to begin his career in oil field production.

A man of many talents, Victor enjoyed riding horses, competing in Tae Kwon do, riding his tractor and his Harley Davidson and barbecuing on his patio.  He spent many years as a member of the Bonsai Society of Acadiana.

Acadiana and Cajun culture were cherished by Victor and he truly embodied Laissez les bon temps rouler.  Drinking a beer and "talking French" with his "podnahs" at City Bar was a favorite pastime.

While he faced many health challenges over the years, Vic was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor.  He held you in high regard if he said "I kinda like you!"

Victor married Jane, his devoted and loving wife of 27 years, in 1994 and they made their home in Maurice for many years.  They later moved to rural Georgia and enjoyed country living.

Victor was predeceased by his brother Bruce Anthony Hebert.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Gina Jane; son Justin Wayne Hebert (Stephanie), stepdaughter Christina Hernandez (Broc); siblings John L. Hebert, Claudet Broussard, Christine Brundle (Mark); Sisters-in-law Andrea Wheeler (Joey), Jennifer Tillirson (Eric), Laurie Brown (Michael) and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations in Victor's memory may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
