Virginia Perry Dupree, age 99, of Dublin, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Mrs. Dupree was born on September 29, 1918 in Laurens County to the late Warren White and Bernice Joiner Perry. She was a homemaker and oldest member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. She loved her church, family and community and will be missed deeply.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Dupree; brothers, Felton Perry, James Perry, Warren Perry; and sisters, Jewel Savage, Yvonne Powell, Marion Edwards.

She is survived by daughters, Sheila Stinson, and Shirley Knight, both of Dublin; grandchildren, Scott Knight (Kelly), of Dudley, Dana Knight, of Stockbridge, and Josh Stinson (Alison), of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Harden and Bobby Knight, of Dudley, Garrett Stinson, of Dublin and Haylee Darsey, of East Dublin; brother, Ray (Cathryn) Perry, of Dublin; sisters, Vivian White (Aubrey), of Hoschton, GA and Mary Ellen Slaughter, of Dublin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Dupree will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Bethsaida Baptist Church. Burial will be held privately at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brad Ball will officiate.
