Services for W. D. Goodrum, Jr., age 88 of Rentz, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2014 at Rentz Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Vann officiating. Burial will follow in the Rentz Cemetery. Mr. Goodrum was the son of the late W. D. Goodrum, Sr. and the late Mary Frances Achord. He was a member of Rentz Baptist church where he served as Deacon. He was a lifelong resident of Rentz, was a farmer, caregiver, and later worked at Lindsey's Hardware. He enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Goodrum was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Moore. He died Saturday, April 26, 2014. He is survived by a nephew, Mike (Libby) Moore of Fitzgerald, and Judy (Lynn) Walker of McRae and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Sammy Coley, Sam Andrews, Jim Arthur, Bennie Daniel, Edwin Avery and LaRue Fountain will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rentz Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
