Walter Gunnell, Jr., age 81 of East Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, December 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Chris Dixon will officiate. Mr. Gunnell was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a retired, self-employed, truck driver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Stearman Gunnell, parents, Walter and Irene Wilder Gunnell; son, Joe Gunnell; brothers, Robert G. Gunnells and Harvey E. Gunnels, both retired U.S. Marine Corp Veterans, and a sister, Bertha Mae Reid. He is survived by his brother, retired U.S. Army Veteran, Charlie Gunnells of South Carolina; daughter, Lisa A. Hunter of Dublin; sons, Thomas M. Robertson of Macon and Joseph B. Robertson of Alabama; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
