Funeral Services for Wanda Faye Lumley Melton, age 59 of Dublin will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Lighthouse Church of God. Pastor Ben Lumley, Pastor LeRoy Spivey and Pastor Monty Lasseter will officiate and burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Melton died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Mrs. Melton was born in Lyons, GA. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Ralph Lee Lumley and the late Annie Mae Lampp Lumley. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of God where she was teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class, played the piano and worked with the children of the church and the womens mission organization, and helped people in need. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Watson Lumley and brother in law, Garland Rollins. She is survived by her husband, Herman Melton of Dublin, brothers and sisters, Annie Lee Rollins of Lyons, Dot (Ben) Welch of Orange Park, FL, Rev. Ben (Amanda) Lumley of Bowman, Mary Francis (Benny) Crooms of Knoxville, Christine (Mac) McTier of Apopka, FL, Geraldine (Carson) Smith of East Dublin, Rev. Ralph Lee (Doyce) Lumley, Jr. of Wrightsville, Elizabeth (James) Pitts of Macon, Larry Wayne (Janice) Lumley of East Dublin, Linda (David) Raburn of Dublin, and sister in law, Glenda Lumley of Dublin, numerous nieces and nephews. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Monday, January 17, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.
