Services for Wilbon Roy "Sonny" Daniel, Jr. will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Tim Brown will officiate. Mr. Daniel was a mechanic employed by the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Masonic Dexter Lodge # 340 and the Sons of the Confederacy "Pine Barrens". Mr. Daniel was the best husband, father, grandfather, and also loved his horses. He died Friday, January 27, 2012. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbon Roy Daniel, Sr. and Louise Hanson Daniel, and sister, June Ledridge. Survivors include his wife, Pat Brown Daniel, of Dublin; children, Dana Daniel, of Milledgeville, Dennis Daniel, (Carolyn Strickland, fiancée), of Gray, Dori Daniel Christopher, of Jones County, Pam (Tater) Kirkley, Vickie (Keith) Mullis, both of Eastman; grandchildren, Levi Daniel, Cole Christopher, Dalton Kirkley, Kain Kirkley, Evan Kirkley, Hannah Kirkley, Gabi Bedsole, Kaylee Mullis, Will Daniel, and Haley Daniel; stepson, Tim Wainio; and sisters, Joy Brown, of St. Marks, FL,and Peggy Carter, of Dublin. Tommy Daniel, Ronald Daniel, Ralph Mullis, Donnie Jackson, David Couey, Terry Edge, and Randy Rowland will serve as pallbearers. The Masons will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
