Graveside services for Willene Boone Durden, age 88 of Dublin, will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2014 at Graham Memorial Nazarene Church Cemetery. Trey Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends in the social hall of Graham Memorial Nazerene Church from 2:00 PM until the service time. Mrs. Durden died Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Mrs. Durden, born in Laurens County, moved to Jesup in 1954 and lived there thirty-four years. She was employed at Maxwell's Department Store in Jesup for many years. After retirement, she returned to Dublin. Mrs. Durden, a member of Minter Baptist Church, loved her family and especially enjoyed family reunions at Thanksgiving. She enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially trips to the mountains. Mrs. Durden was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell H. Durden; parents, Bessie Keen Boone and Aden B. Boone; daughter, Joyce Durden Ervin; son, Earl Forth, Jr.; two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her children, Brenda Durden Harris, of Rome, Alan Durden (Wanda), of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Denise Ledbetter, also her devoted caregiver, of Dublin, Michelle Forth Brown (Kenny),of Gainesville, FL, Bernie Forth (Wendy), of Douglas, Jeb Durden, of Franklin, NC, Levi Durden, of Franklin, NC; great grandchildren, Haley Brown, of Nashville, TN, Tyler Brown, of Vail Valley, CO; several nieces and nephews, and special caregivers, Barbara King, Dolly Hogan, April Lumley, and Rachel Lumley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Graham Memorial Nazarene Church Cemetery Fund, 112 Graham Church Road, East Dublin, GA 31027.
