Services for Willene J. Talley Mullis, age 74 of Twin City, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Mrs. Mullis was a 1954 graduate of Dublin High School where she served as Class Officer and was a member of the Glee Club, Basketball Team, Annual Staff, Shamrock Shanty and Homecoming Queen. Mrs. Mullis worked as a Dental Hygienist for many years and was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Talley and husband, Griffen T. Mullis. Mrs. Mullis passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Tracy J. Mullis and son-in-law, Ashley Riner of Swainsboro; son, Trent G. Mullis of Dublin; granddaughter, Amber L. Helms of Swainsboro and two great-grandchildren, Mason Outlaw and Parker Grace Outlaw both of Swainsboro; mother, Thelma Parker Talley of Dublin and many nieces, nephews and other distant family, as well as a multitude of friends. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
