William H. "Bill" Fennell, 73, was surrounded by his loving family at Serenity Place when he lost his battle to cancer on Friday afternoon July 14, 2017.

Mr. Fennell was born in Laurens County on August 18, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Fennell and W.H. "Bill" and Melrose White, a brother, John Paul Fennell. Bill served in the US Air Force and retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base after 36 years of service. He was Baptized at Jefferson Street Baptist Church when he was 13 and is a current member of Minter Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Fennell, his daughters; Michele (Jeffrey) Shepard, April (Jeffery) Ellington, grandchildren; Jessie Shepard, Jake Shepard, Peyton Ellington, Lauryn Ellington, sister; Lavonne Ennis, brothers; Herschel (Lisa) White, Ed (Kim) White, sister in law, Faye Fennell and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 16 at Minter Baptist Church with Burial to follow in the Minter Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Jones and the Rev. Mike Grant will officiate.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
