William "Bill" Kymble Thomas, age 72, of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Woods will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday. Interment will be held privately at a later date. Mr. Thomas graduated from Dublin High School in 1962 and from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in business. He also attended the Wynona Lake School of Photography after college. He was a third generation owner of Kimball Studios. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Professional Photographers Association, where he served one year as secretary, as well as helped head drives with the American Red Cross. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kymble Faircloth Thomas and Clarice Jo Exum Thomas. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Judy Smith Thomas of Dublin; daughter, Kymberly Thomas Lowery (Greg) of Soperton; granddaughter, Brittany Lowery-Rumph (Timothy) of Soperton; cousin, Bill Exum (Barb) of Juliette; mother-in-law, Madge Lake Smith of Wrightsville; brother-in-law, Noel Smith (Jumelia) of Blairsville; sisters-in-law, Lisa Smith Turner (Bill) of Chattanooga, TN and Becky Smith Tarpley (Woody) of Dublin and several nieces and nephews.
