Services for William Arthur Johns, age 72 of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 1, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Larry Waldrep and Rev. Kelland Waldrep will officiate. Mr. Johns was a member of Pine Grove Assembly of God and was employed by the City of Dublin. He was the son of the late Rev. William Henry Johns and the late Ada Mullis Johns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Johns. He passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Faye "Pee Wee" Johns of East Dublin; daughter, Jackie Stoddard of Cadwell; sons, Michael (Carrie) Johns of South Daytona, FL, Neal Johns of East Dublin and Dell (Cindy) Johns of Rentz; step-daughter, Lynn (Patrick) Beacham of East Dublin; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
