William B. Smith, age 85 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Marie Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Napier Smith. Survivors include his children; Patricia (Clem) Burns of Dublin, Debra (Michael) Griffin of Claxton; Sandra (Rob) Hobbs of Spokane, WA and David Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Tammi (Bo-J) Claxton of Dublin, Johnny Griffin of Claxton, Christopher Hobbs of Spokane, WA, Ashley (Torrey) States of Idaho Falls, ID and Daphne and William Smith both of Myrtle Beach, SC and numerous great-grandchildren.
