Services for Willie Lee Crooms, Jr., age 75, of East Dublin, will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Reverend Larry McNatt will officiate. Mr. Crooms was of the Baptist faith and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was the son of the late Willie Lee Crooms, Sr. and the late Nora Bell Crooms. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crooms was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Crooms; sister, Ethel Crooms Johnson and four brothers, Roy Crooms, Bernard Crooms, Willard Crooms and Wilma Crooms. He passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Crooms of East Dublin; two brothers, Benny Crooms of Macon and Kenneth Crooms of Cadwell; sister, Linda Clark of East Dublin and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kenny Crooms, Billy Crooms, Dale Crooms, Jason Fountain, Tim Maddox, Jeff Maddox, Greg Oliver and Raymond Crooms. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
