Services for Wilma Lee Ballard, age 81 of East Dublin, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Resurrection Assembly of God, East Dublin, with burial to follow in the Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Hugh Spivey and Rev. James Covington will officiate. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Ballard was born in Hamilton, OH. Five generations of family were living at Mrs. Lee's death. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Ivey, father, Ben Ivey, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. She loved to sew, read, and cook. She enjoyed holidays with family and fixing big dinners for them. Mrs. Lee worked in the meat department at Marsh Stores, Inc., in Hamilton where she had many friends. She opened the first deli that the company had. She loved to travel and see different things. She was a NASCAR fan. Most of all she loved Church and her LORD. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Harrold Ballard of East Dublin, her children; Pam Blaylock of Hamilton, Daryl Gentry of Hamilton, Melisia Sandlin of Hamilton, and Shane Gentry of Lima, OH, and brother, VJ Ivey of Hamilton, OH, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Helton, Tommy Howell, Al Russell, Charlie Barkwell, Frank Rowland, Ken Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will include Doyle Tanner, Jack Mulkey and Troy Joyce.
