Services for Winnie Grooms, age 65, of Alamo, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Mimbs will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Grooms was born in Taylorsville, MS to the late Bert Lee Hosey, Sr. and the late Nola Lee Lewis Hosey. She was a housewife. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grooms was predeceased by her brothers, Luther Hosey, William Hosey, and Bert Hosey, Jr. Survivors include her husband, George Grooms, of Alamo; children David (Christine) Kiser, of Bushnell, FL and Deanna (Ricky) Bryant, of Vidalia; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Marie Williamson, of Moss, MS, Betty Watson, of Winter Haven, FL,and Wilma Carnes,of Fishers,IN.
