Angeline, fondly known as Angie to her friends and 'MiMi' to her beloved grandchildren, was the loving wife of Gene Wood of Dexter, Georgia. Together, they built a life full of joy and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Lynn Howard (Tracy), Scott Wood (Melinda Little), and Adam Wood (Mary), all of Dexter, GA. Her role as 'MiMi' to her grandchildren, Mason Howard, Carson Howard, Thomas Wood, Teri Ann Wood, Emily Wood, Amber Wood, Hunter Wood, and Hadley Wood, was her most treasured title. She is also survived by her brother, Riley Mackey, and sister Brenda Stevens, both of Dublin.
She is preceded in death by her father, Obie Lamar Mackey, and mother, June Jones Lucas.
Angeline was an active and dedicated member of the Baker Baptist Church, where she served with unwavering commitment in various areas of ministry. She never missed an opportunity to gather with her church family as long as her health permitted. Angeline's work ethic was unparalleled, especially when it came to helping on the family farm. She also loved gardening and was an avid reader.
Described by those who knew her best as loving, faith-filled, and handy, Angeline embodied these qualities in every aspect of her life. She was the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
