Ann Alligood Mimbs, of Rentz, GA, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 79, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 23, 1945, in Dublin, Georgia, Ann was the daughter of the late Loren B. Alligood and Colena Lowery Alligood Meeker. Professionally, Ann was a retired Master Cosmetologist who brought beauty into the lives of her clients. She also served the community through her work at the Laurens County Tax Assessors Office, where her friendly nature made her a beloved colleague. Ann's faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a dedicated member of Rentz Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir for many years.
Those who knew Ann will remember her as a Christian who lived her faith through her actions. She was the embodiment of love and was a source of comfort and joy to those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted children, Chris and his wife Cathy Mimbs of East Dublin, Kim and her husband Jeff Moore of Dublin, and Jeff and his wife Donna Mimbs of LaGrange. Ann's legacy continues through her adoring grandsons, Casey (Erica) Mimbs of Cary, Kyle (Alli) Mimbs of Carrollton, Cody (Amanda) Mimbs of Columbus, C.J. Mimbs of East Dublin, Cole (Kimberly) Moore of Wrightsville, and Jason (Autumn) Morell of Iowa; granddaughters, Payton Thomas of Danville and Gabi (Johnnie) Smith of Hilton Head, SC. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Windom Mimbs, Everly Smith, Maggie Lynn Moore, Colton Morell, Kane Morell, Parker Morell, and Jack Mimbs. Ann is also survived by her brother, Rev. Charles Alligood and his wife Peggy of Buford, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Rentz Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rentz City Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann, Mr. Stephen Alligood and Rev. Charles Alligood will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service hour at the church. They may also be contacted at the Mimbs home in Rentz.
Pallbearers will be Casey Mimbs, Kyle Mimbs, Cody Mimbs, C.J. Mimbs, Cole Moore, and Chase Sapp.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Atrium Navicent Interventional Radiology, Dublin Medical Center, and Georgia Hospice Cares.
