Anne Katharine (Salley) Gray

Anne Katharine Salley Gray was born on August 16, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Katharine Henderson Salley and Jefferson Stokes Salley, Jr., and was the wife of Adonis Gray.  She grew up in High Point, NC, and graduated from Duke University in 1956 and from University of North Carolina with a Master‘s of Fine Arts in 1960.

Mrs. Gray taught art in Public Schools in Greensboro, NC, and Arlington, VA. Later, she taught painting and drawing at Northern Virginia Community College, retiring as an Associate Professor of Art. She was an artist, maintaining a studio and has been a resident of Dublin, GA, since 1998. She passed away on November 30, 2019.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the funeral home.
