Annette P. Thomas, age 91, of Dudley, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Laurens County to the late R.W. and Essie Butler Parker. She retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and was also previously employed with Oconee EMC. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dublin where she was involved with the Women’s Circle Ministry. She loved to garden, bake cakes, and cook for family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Luman V. Holmes, Carl T. Basden, and Barney Thomas; brothers, R.W. Parker, Jr. and Melvin Parker; sister, Thelma Parker Talley, and an infant son.
Survivors include her son, Gary Holmes (Judy), of East Dublin; daughter, Pam Holmes, of Rockledge; step-children, Michael Thomas, of Dublin, and Terri Piotrowski (Larry), Carla Scott (Deryl), and Lindsey Basden (Debbie), all of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Merlen Parker, of Dudley, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, September 7, 2020, in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Barry Giddens will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Heath Holmes, Holby Holmes, Derrick Thigpen, Chan Thigpen, Ronnie Parker, and Tommy Parker.
