Ariel Douglas Gray, age 93, of Dublin, passed away at Addington Place on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Ariel was born December 1, 1930, in Dublin, GA, to the late Adonis Lyle Gray and the late Mary Bishop Gray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Wendell Gray. Ms. Gray graduated in 1948, from Dublin High School and attended Middle Georgia College. She lived in San Francisco, CA; Houston, TX; and Columbia, SC, before moving back to Dublin, where she worked many dedicated years in the Laurens County Clerk of Courts Office.
Ms. Gray was a member of Dublin First Methodist Church, and the John Laurens Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as the Richard Montgomery Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists. She enjoyed playing Bridge, and loved her Chihuahuas, “Pepe”, “Wendy”, and “Marcos.”
She is survived by her brother, Don Gray of Arlington, VA; first cousins, Helen Bishop Hawley of Greensboro, NC, Millie Bishop Oberg of Hawkinsville, and Kathy Bishop Sharpe of Dexter; and her godson, Frank Sharpe of Dexter.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Northview Cemetery. Pastors David and Jennifer Thompson will officiate.
