Arnold McCullough Obituary

Mr. McCullough was born in Cadwell, Georgia on July 9, 1934, to the late Clarance McCullough and Mamie Register McCullough. Dykes attended Rentz School but stopped going at a young age to help his parents on the family farm. He was an Army Veteran. He grew up at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Cadwell and later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Rentz. There he was an active Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed leading activities with the youth of the church including camping, peanut boils, and trips to Six Flags. He was a farmer, employed at the Plywood Mill, and later retired from Forstman. He coached many seasons of softball. He enjoyed square dancing and camping. He loved gathering with friends around the piano at his home to sing old gospel hymns. If you knew him, there was no question – He loved his Lord and had an undeniable love for his family. Dykes never met a stranger and loved going on visitation to try to win souls for the Lord – Even if they hid under the bed!

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Euneeda McDaniel McCullough, siblings, Buddy McCullough and Bryleen Williamson, and father and mother-in-law Carris and Emma Lou McDaniel.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Dale (Bonnie) McCullough of Rentz; daughter, Fay (Jeff) Kitchens of Rentz; son, Joe (Cissy) McCullough of Dublin; granddaughter, Caroline (Michael) Shillingburg of Rentz; granddaughter, Ashley (AJ) Davidson of Winterville, NC; granddaughter, Ariel (Justin) Holland of Wrightsville; grandson, Ty McCullough of Dublin; granddaughter, Brandy Vann of Warner Robins; granddaughter, Danni (Cliff) Howard of Cadwell; and great-grandchildren, Shay and Dylan Shillingburg, Chasney Holland, Izzy, Nash, and Jett Davidson, Rylan Howard, and Micah and Layla Vann.

Dykes was a simple man, so please feel free to dress casually.
