Barbara Faye Herndon

Barbara Faye Herndon, age 63, of Rentz went to be with her Lord on September 15, 2022.

Mrs. Herndon was born in Macon, GA to the late Mr. Alfred “Junior” Dixon Jr. and Mrs. Norma Lee Jackson Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, Jerry James Herndon Sr., brothers, Jimmy Dixon and Wendell Dixon.  She was always the caregiver to those in need. She even worked for Hospice for a while. Her grandkids were her whole world. Barbara was a strong believer in her faith and loved reading her bible. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going on trips with her significant other Allen.

She is survived by her significant other, Allen Warren of Rentz, sons, Kirk Register (Michelle) of Dublin, Jerry Herndon (Valerie) of Rentz, step children, Pattie Little of Macon, Glen Herndon (Amber) of Rentz, Nicole Davis (Harley) of Rhine, grandchildren, Makayla Register of Rentz, Alyssa Register of Rentz, Caleb Herndon of Rentz, brother, Tommy Dixon (Martha) of Dublin. She was survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Herndon will be held at Baker Baptist Church on Saturday, September 17, 2022 beginning at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 until service hour. Interment will follow at Gay Cemetery. Rev. Joey Diers will officiate.

Serving as pall bearers are, Danny Earl Warren, Steven Cox, Chad Graham, Sean Courtenay, Daniel Dixon, and Bruce Hightower.
