Barbara Harden McDaniel

Barbara Harden McDaniel, age 80, of Dublin, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A celebration of her life will be held, Friday, April 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurens County. Dr. Paul Cowles will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

 Mrs. McDaniel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born in Dublin and was a 1958 graduate of Dublin High School. She retired from J.P. Stevens Company/Forstmann, Inc. after 42 years of dedicated service. Her true passion was serving alongside her husband as a Pastor’s wife as they served the congregations of Bethel Baptist Church in Glenwood, Rock Springs Baptist Church, and Poplar Springs South Baptist Church in Laurens County, New Bethel Baptist Church in Helena, and Faith Baptist Church in Soperton. Mrs. McDaniel had a heart after God for her entire life. Her greatest joys were her family and her church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Lauriece Harden. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rev. Nolon McDaniel; her daughter Ann Cowles (Paul) of Warner Robins; two granddaughters, Lauren Coleman (Chance) of Kathleen and Hannah Mills (Norris) of Tifton; one great-granddaughter, Everleigh Coleman; her brother Prentice Harden (Paula) of Dublin.

Pallbearers will be Chance Coleman, Norris Mills, Mark Harden, Jeff Bracewell, Shane Henry, Sammy Meeks, and John Robinson.

Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and Staff and the McDaniel family respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
